Day 1 in Panama was a success! We explored the Causeway, Casco Viejo, and the Panama Canal. My favorite part of the day was visiting Casco Viejo, or the “old town”. The architecture is BEAUTIFUL— pale pink, yellow, and white buildings covered in pink and white flowers, surrounded by iron fences and balconies. Vendors lined the streets, and we visited two of the five cathedrals in Casco Viejo. The girls are being very responsible with their souvenir choices— no purchases today! They’re still on the hunt for the perfect item. Despite the snazzy photo below, I did not purchase that Panama hat, so I’m still in the market for one!
Tomorrow we go to Punta Chame for the Spay Panama clinic, followed by a visit to the beach, which we are all looking forward to!
Goodnight!
