We are in Panama!

Day One of our trip to Panama!
Today we went to the famous Panama Canal and it lived up to its expectations! The history of the canal is fascinating, the canal has been in constant use since it opened in 1914. While we were there, three ships went through the locks with ease. The technology and science behind the locks which make it look so easy seem like it would be complicated, but in truth, it is relatively simple ideas. 

Tomorrow we get to volunteer at one of Spay Panama's mobile clinic! This will be the first day we get to help with the animals. I am really excited for tomorrow!
